2025 Homer Epic route
The route is shown below using CalTopo. 50 km racers will complete the route (black line on map below) once in a counter-clockwise direction. 100 km racers will complete two laps of the 50 km route.
This event takes place on the lands of the Dena’ina people. Please respect that the route crosses private property (Cook Inlet Region, Inc.) in the vicinity of McNeil Canyon Elementary School and along parts of the North Fork Hills trail. If you’re checking out the course before the race or training, please remember that Kachemak Nordic Ski Club trails near the start/finish of the Homer Epic are always closed to bike and foot use. Until race day, please access from the Caribou Lake trailhead by driving out East End Rd., Basargin Rd. and finally Willard Rd. to a large, plowed parking lot. This is also a great location to cheer on your friends and family as they pass by.
